This is one of those ones where Hunter’s behaviour makes you wonder what is wrong with her.
Our friend and source was not comfortable divulging this information in late October when it happened for a couple reasons. They feel more safe giving you the straight dope now after memories have faded: when Benedict’s ex-girlfriend Olivia Poulet of 11 years went to see Hamlet in late October and visit him in his wardrobe after the show, Benedict’s wife sat outside his dressing room, like a rent-a-cop at the mall during sales.
It’s no surprise to us Hunter is the kind of crazy woman who monitors her husband’s brief interactions with an ex-girlfriend. (Sadly, most men refer to women who display this kind of borderline personality behaviour as “crazy ex girlfriend” and not “crazy wife”.)
This is, you may recall from recent posts, dear readers, the same controlling woman who forced her presence into Benedict’s photos with his fans before she was dating him, who refused to let him hold her hand on red carpets by clutching her fist or holding down the vent of his Burberry coat to control him. (If you’re not familiar with this behaviour, please read the past articles of this WordPress.)
This behaviour is even more disturbing when you consider Poulet announced her engagement the same week she saw Hamlet: no woman in her right mind could seriously think Poulet would try to “win Benedict back” or pose any kind of threat.
That is, of course, unless that woman is scared of losing her meal ticket and coattails to fame and fortune husband to someone better, which she probably knows would be easy for him to find. Or maybe she suspected her husband never got over his ex, and only married her because she trapped him with a child that is allegedly his. We’ll leave that for our readers to decide.
More after the jump.
Further down the conversation our friend told us something they requested not be screencapped because of the detail involved. They have approved a brief summary in our words though: Benedict let the company know he was VERY upset about negative articles about his life in the press at the time.
We end this exclusive with our repeated sadness for Cumberbatch, who our source has consistently described as a good, kind, and warm person (albeit with flaws) that does not deserve this kind of person in his life, however much he willingly went into the marriage knowing what kind of person she is. We also repeat our opinion Cumberbatch should get a paternity test ASAP.
